Christian tattoos in Preston
Christian tattoos are some of the most personal work I do. At True Colours in Preston I tattoo crosses, scripture and bible verses, praying hands, rosaries, angels, and portraits of Jesus and Mary, for people from across Lancashire.
How I work
Faith is a big part of my life. Tattooing Christian pieces means I can commit my work to my faith, help other Christians get good tattoos from someone who shares their experiences and values, and meet others who hold the same faith.
Scripture, word for word. Tell me the translation you read and the reference. I set the verse exactly as it's written, and we check it together before the stencil goes on.
Classic images, drawn for you. Praying hands holding your own rosary, a cross with a name and date, the Sacred Heart, Our Lady, an angel for someone you've lost. Reference pictures help, and I redraw rather than copy.
Portraits of Jesus and Mary. The same approach as my portrait work: a clear reference, enough size for the face to read, in black and grey or colour.
Small and quiet works too. A small cross on the wrist, a single word, a fish, a dove. Not everything needs to be big to mean something.
Respect. I treat these designs with the same care you do, and I'll always show you the drawing before anything is final.

Questions about faith tattoos
How much is a cross or scripture tattoo?
Small crosses and single words start from £70, and so does a short verse. Praying hands, rosaries and portraits are priced by the session: £210 for a half day, £400 for a full day. I'll quote before you pay anything.
Can you do a bible verse in the exact wording?
Yes. Tell me the translation and the chapter and verse. I'll show you the stencil before we begin, and you check every word.
Can a cross carry a name and date for someone I've lost?
Yes. A lot of the crosses I do are memorials. Bring the name and date, or their handwriting from a card, and I'll set it into the design.
